Ballyowen Meadows Sensory garden launch.

The official opening of our fabulous sensory garden took place on Friday 7 October 2022.

It has been a dream of ours to use our wonderful grounds for a sensory garden and thanks to Aviva’s community award and staff fundraising we were able to realise this dream.

The blue skies and sunshine made the day perfect. Many guests invited enjoyed walking around the garden and were treated to tea and cake afterwards. Children decorated the school with beautiful garden artwork for the celebration. Visiting the sensory garden is now an important part of the children’s day. Sensory regulation enhances children’s ability to learn. We are happy to announce we now have a beautiful addition to our school grounds.
